I really hated Durian fruit when I was younger and It made me regret for some time.

When I had my wife as a girlfriend, I found out that she like durian and when we got married, had to live buying her the fruit I like less, knowing she need it and for the baby inside her. Whenever i see her eating the,m, I get delighted because I could see that it was very delicious for her.

Time came when my sister in law brought home lots of durian fruits and unknowingly, I was able to tolerate its smell over the years especially when my wife encourages me to eat them.

Since I was able to tolerate the smell, I had the courage to try small bit every time they open a fruit and not long after, I realized that it was delicious and there regret sank into me why I was being stupid back then.

That time when I realized that the fruit was delicious, the fruit season ended, yet there are some fruits being sold yet they cost 2 times more than when it's very abundant. every time I pass buy on a durian shop, I would feel that regret but God is good and one day I got hired as a security guard for an orchard and there I was able to know and try different varieties of durian fruit. I was also able to bring some for my family, my wife was pregnant at that time and it really helped her in her pregnancy journey. But I had to stop working there because we realized that it would be better to take care of the child myself than hire a nanny.

Last year, I got to work for my godmother who had several durian plants and one day while working on her farm, a ripe fruit fell and instantly became my lunch, thus the pictures attached in this post.

I was delighted with my experience, I shred it to my wife who was very happy for me and just this year, we were able to plant 4 seedlings of durian tree in the hope that one day, we will have our own supply of this nutritious and delicious fruit.
