LEGO Exposition at Cysoing , France

in #esteem6 years ago
Three weeks ago, we went to a Lego exhibition with my husband and our son in Cysoing City, few minutes from our residence. My husband is a big fan of Lego, and our son seems to follow the same path lol! As with each exhibition, there were several themes presented. And we enjoyed taking a walk from universe to universe. Passing from a galaxy very far away to a mysterious Elven forest. Meet in turn a Hobbit, Batman, Tintin or even Mickey.

Here is the summary of our expo tour in the land of brick.

From the entrance, the tone is given, the exhibition looks grandiose, huge, huge! A beautiful diorama on the theme of Rogue One has Star Wars story. A representation of Scarif's attack really impressive. Everything is there, the beach, the palm trees, the war machines of the empire.

The second diorama represents the village of the Ewoks.

We continue our excursion and arrived in a beautiful Elven forest. A diorama logically dedicated to girls since based on the Lego Elves range but which attracts any good fan of Lego, whatever it is! A colorful forest, filled with strange vegetation, plants, and trees.

This setting has caught the attention of my husband for these trees, he wants to do for his diorama. It's nice because during the show you can chat with the creators and get ideas, building techniques.

We stay in the fantastic universe to arrive at J.R.R Tolkien! So we follow Bilbo the Hobbit, Thorin, Fili, Kili and the other dwarves trying to escape the land of the elves to get to Lake Town before entering the city of the dwarves Erebor. Where do you wait for the dragon Smaug! We really live the story, we really believe in the movies. It's very realistic. We would like to be the size of a Lego to walk in this universe.

We can also admire the Balrog, fire demon that Gandalf faced when crossing the mines of Moria.

We continue our visit to the different stands. There are many cities in Lego City. Various pretty city scenes, big or small, with or without a train.

We loved the old port. With its fishing boat gathering fish, followed by some sharks and gulls. lol!
Photo 33.JPG

What's great about the shows is that you can see the personal creations of the creators meet the official Lego achievements. They really have an incredible imagination to create new buildings as in photos for example.

But the top is still the cities with a train. It's really fun to see them arrive, cross each other. And there is a little guy who seems to appreciate the trains :)

Between this multitude of cities, we meet the famous reporter Tintin. For those who don't know, Tintin is the hero of a comic strip of the Belgian Hergé. The young reporter accompanied by his faithful dog Snowy and friends such as Captain Haddock, Professor Tournessol or police officers Dupont and Dupond.

We discover various achievements here. To start, small scenes representing various covers of comics that had to be found. A very nice little game that my husband has solved without difficulties;)
Photo 45.JPG

Next are BrickHead from Tintin and Co. The new Lego fashion these Brickhead. And here they are very successful.
Photo 46.JPG

Here comes the rocket that Tintin and his friends used to go to the moon. A scaled version of Lego figures already very well done :)
Photo 47.JPG

Before seeing the same version MAXI !!!!! more than 2m high !!!!!
Photo 48.JPG

Before continuing to describe the rest of our visit, I will tell you a little about the various creations that I saw there and that I would call real works of art. I don't know how to describe it but look at this owl.
Photo 49.JPG

Or this beautiful scene in black and white. Perfect to represent these gangsters !!
Al Capone should not be far lol!
Photo 50.JPG

Admire also this magnificent mosaic of Lego. At first, we can't see anything, we say that it's just lozenges of bricks but when we put a good distance and the right angle, Wow! Incredible, a face appears. Here, for example, Abbé Pierre, or Nelson Mandela.
Photo 51.JPG

But what about the busts of Laurel and Hardy? Splendid representation of the comic duo that our parents know better than us hehehehe. This work will also be exhibited in Belgium, in Kortrijk from June 30 to July 22 but we will not be able to go.
Photo 52.JPG

Then, we discovered achievements that I didn't know but that my husband loved as for example the ships of the superheroes of his childhood. The Arcadia of the captain Albator (Harlock)

I liked the place of the medieval market, made by a 10-year-old. We can be young and have talent.

Finally, we had the right to discover for the first time by us an exceptional diorama. Indeed, this year, an AFOL (Adult Fan Of Lego) came specially from Paris to present his giant diorama: Disneyland !!!! Yes, it replicates the Disneyland Paris Park in Lego. It's impressive, imposing, beautiful. The designer told us that the project was not finished yet, it will expand to really present all the areas of the park, but already at the moment, it's great. The entrance of the park with the main street and the castle of the sleeping beauty, the laser game buzz, the Orbitron, the space mountain, the labyrinth of Alice, the Mad Hatter's cup cups, it's a small world, peter pan adventure, the country of fairy tales.

There it was, a beautiful exhibition, with various themes, nice meetings and ideas for my husband. And our little son Enzo! He is already a fan !!!

Well, that's all for today! Thanks for dropping by and catch you next time Lego fanatics!
