Team Truecolours 06: Curation Report For Week #2 [August 2025]

We've reached the second week as a curation team, and we're pleased with the work done. The truth is, we're not complaining about spending this summer reading and sharing with users from many countries. Therefore, I've written this poem:

Listen to me, commentator,
This humble poem
Where the attorney general's office
Will deliver its fervor to you
It's no small matter
Read with dedication
Your publication, your expression
That you share online
Where you've surely
put your heart.
For us, my friend,
It's of supreme importance
Read your story or poem
Which came from your soul
We wish to be accurate
I denote it in verse
I write it down in this rhyme
Rewarding your quality
We will act with loyalty
When we give you our vote

We vote: comments, art, and those ignored/without a Security Council to represent them We try to maintain a balance in the administration of votes for both women and men. We managed to select 29 posts from women and 32 from men. And in the comments, we selected 50 from women and 44 from men.

On this journey, we have unfortunately encountered some users who are unable to write a comment without resorting to the use of artificial intelligence; which is why we removed one vote twice and four people received a notification due to AI misuse.

In that post, the author shares a beautiful piece of art where he creates an amazing portrait of a lady. He also adds the step by step of its creation and the materials required for that. Seeing this, seems very interesting and amazing.

@evagavilan wrote a post to participate in the Steem-Atlas challenge, in which she shows us some emblematic places in Ciutadella de Menorca, with a genuine description of them.

However, when her post was verified, they pointed out that her post had an error:

The Steem Atlas pin and the location shared on Google Maps were different.

In addition, they suggested that the ideal for these posts should describe a single place.

Eva's response is very interesting:

Thanks for the verification @joshrone, When I added the location, I considered that detail because I'm talking about several places of interest that belong to the same city. I thought it was excessive to talk about each one separately, and I decided to talk about Ciutadella in general and use a reference point.
From what I see, this isn't the most appropriate approach.
Ideally, posts for Steem Atlas should talk about a specific place.
I'll keep this in mind for my future posts.
I hope you enjoy my adventures in Menorca anyway. It's a wonderful place.

Regarding stefano.massari's post about the origins, evolution, and importance of horses to humanity, @emmawalt comments that she admires the beauty of equines, but she's afraid of them. That's why when she's walking her dog, if she sees horses on the path, she prefers to detour. For her, it's better to admire them when they're behind fences.

@luna25 based on her article titled "About Minnows," in which she discusses the platform and user behavior (small and big fish), asks grok (artificial intelligence) how he could explain the phrase:

I'm happy, I found out how to switch to full screen mode on Rutube with a gesture.

Grok's response isn't bad, but according to the author: It only explains terms, which differentiates it from the way a human being should respond.

On the other hand, the user, in an ironic tone, asks a rhetorical question: Where did the Steemit minnows go? And then she herself answers:

They grew into bigger fish, but the fat they acquired didn't bring them anything. In their minds, they were still minnows.

In this comment, the commentator shows her interest in comedy and the shows related to comedy. She adds some memories of her past in which she used to listen to the comedy shows in her country Pakistan. This is because, that country have created a lot of talented comedians who bring smiles on the faces of people.

Thank you! Taking my comment into account may make the concept of the place we are publishing rethink. If I want to talk about a small city but of great cultural wealth, should I make a post for each monument? I think that if you mentioned the city I can give the coordinates of some emblematic place within that city and according to my criteria it would be valid.

It is important to be able to share the natural and cultural riches that surround us to clarify concepts especially in this aspect.

Tomar en cuenta mi comentario puede hacer que se replantee el concepto del lugar que estamos publicando. ¿Si quiero hablar de una ciudad pequeña pero de gran riqueza cultural debo hacer un post por cada monumento? Pienso que si citó la ciudad puedo dar las coordenadas de algún lugar emblemático dentro de esa ciudad y según mi criterio sería válido.
Es importante para poder compartir las riquezas naturales y culturales que nos rodean aclarar conceptos sobre todo en este aspecto.

I once made a post like yours and it was denied without a reason. I wonder why a tour in a city, a city walk like we have many, isn't allowed. It would make the atlas better. Especially, if you are not familiar with a place and thinknabout a visit.
I read a lot of not too interesting posts, well rewarded but if it comes to it it adds zero.

@steem-atlas could offer more than a google maps version without revieuws of other visitors.

Thank you @wakeupkitty.pal for sharing your comment. Right now, I have another city in Menorca to publish, and I'm giving it some thought. I feel it's not fair to eliminate interesting places just to locate the publication at a single set of coordinates.

If you ask me it's s big midtake not to implent citytrips or city walks or how ne like to mention it. If they do thst Steem Atlas is again running years after what other tools and apps have to offer. Even the Dutch railway ha ls citywalks ir shows 10 interesting spots of a city (beating travelagencies for free).

I wonder what will happen if you pin twice the same location but talk about different spots in that post. Isit read at all or just checked on certain aspects?
Title and links in the post (pins) can attach the different lications as well.
Still, good posts take time and it feels this is nit the idea if the Atlas.

En mi opinión es un gran error no implantar citytrips o paseos por la ciudad. Si lo hacen, Steem Atlas volverá a funcionar años después de lo que ofrecen otras herramientas y aplicaciones. Incluso el ferrocarril holandés tiene citywalks ir muestra 10 puntos interesantes de una ciudad (batiendo travelagencies de forma gratuita).

Me pregunto qué pasará si pones dos veces el mismo lugar pero hablas de lugares diferentes en ese post. ¿Se lee todo o sólo se comprueban ciertos aspectos?
El título y los enlaces en el post (pins) pueden adjuntar las diferentes licaciones también.
Aún así, los buenos puestos de tomar tiempo y se siente esto es nit la idea si el Atlas.

It's a good option, I like the possibility of talking about my trips and also that they stay in a stored place so that other people can benefit from my experiences.

I know that there are other places that offer the same possibilities without so many demands but I bet on Steemit and I want to trust that together there can be an understanding for the benefit of all.

I think I'll keep trying a few more times to see if I can coordinate the information.

Es una buena opción, a mi me gusta la posibilidad de hablar de mis viajes y también de que queden en un lugar almacenados para que otras personas puedan beneficiarse de mis experiencias.
Sé que hay otros lugares que ofrecen las mismas posibilidades sin tantas exigencias pero yo aposté a Steemit y quiero confiar en que juntos pueda haber un entendimiento para beneficio de todos.
Creo que lo seguiré intentando unas cuantas veces más a ver si logro coordinar la información.
Te agradezco mucho la comunicación directa que has mantenido conmigo. Te veo comprometida con el funcionamiento de la plataforma y tu trabajo es serio.

Me gusta tu estilo de escritura, porque ofreces un banquete de ideas para que el lector las deguste y saque sus conclusiones. Eso fue lo que percibí en tu publicación sobre los pececillos de Steemit. Por cierto, hay muchos que se comieron la grasa y no compartieron ni las migajas con los más pequeños. ¿Sabes? Creo que eso sigue pasando, jeje. Así que aprovecha tu dosis pequeña de grasa, jajaja.
