Toddler Mania Challenge~ The Sims 4

in #gaming6 years ago (edited)

I love building, landscaping and making worlds that look pretty to my eyes. The Sims 4 lets me do all over the above with ease. It is my go-to game for chilling out and relaxing.

I went to The Sims 4 forums to see if there were any building challenges going on that would not take up a lot of time but be a good diversion from The Tiny Living Challenge I am still doing in The Sims 4.

While going through years of challenges they have listed in the forums, I found the Toddler Mania Challenge. I didn't think any farther than I would need to build a new house for this challenge. Yaaaay!

What is the Toddler Mania Challenge Sims 4 by EQ?

Ultimate Goal: Raise at least 7 Toddlers to Children/Teens
Minor Goals/Achievements: Master Toddler Skills
-Movement: Learn to Walk
-Communication: Learn to Talk
-Potty: Learn to use Potty
-Thinking Skill
-Imagination Skill

Hard: AKA "Total Insanity" Start with one Caregiver and 7 Toddlers. The caregiver cannot work outside of the home.

Just go quietly with those people in the white coats for a nice rest.
Medium: One Caregiver and 6 Toddlers with a second Sim to provide financial support.
Train up all Toddlers to learn all Toddler skills.
Easy: One Caregiver and at least 2 Toddlers. A second Sim can be added for financial support.
Add more Toddlers by adopting or having your own

I set to work building the new house.

Once the house was done I made seven tiny toddlers and me as their Mom. That was the last relaxing moment I had in the game until I shut the game down for the night. 😂

The video shows how I went about building the house I thought I needed. How I made the Sims family I would need to play for the challenge, and last the beginning few moments of gameplay.

I will say, very honestly, that this is one of the funniest challenges I have ever done. This was also one of the hardest ones I have ever done in The Sims 4 too. There was not a time, while playing, that I thought to myself, "I got this!"

Once I realized I was losing the battle of keeping all the toddlers happy I called in the Butler to see if he would be any help. I am here to say, for me, if it wasn't for the Butler I would have had at least one, if not more, children taken away for neglect by the Sim Police.

Speaking of the Butler in The Sims 4. They are an in-game character that gets sent to your house once you call on your cell phone and hire them. You have no idea who you will get or what their traits are. The Sims creators have a very funny sense of humor though and it comes through in very interesting ways.

I was so busy, exhausted, and worn out trying to keep all the toddlers happy that through it all I never had time to even ask the Butler to tell me a little bit about himself. When you do ask any Sim this question they will give you at least one trait they have so you know a little bit more about them.

It took me until all the toddlers where teens, out of the house on their first day of school, to finally ask the Butler a bit about himself. I had to stop the game after I read the notice explaining what his traits were because I was laughing so hard.

How did you do?

Ultimate Supreme Caregiver - Raise at least 7 Top-Notch Toddlers (All Level 5 Toddler Skills when aging up to Child)
Model Caregiver - Raise at least 7 Happy Toddlers (All Level 3 Toddler Skills when aging up to Child)
Certified (or is it certifiable?) Caregiver - Everyone lives to tell the tale

In the photos below you will see the scores for all of the toddlers except for Brayden. Braydon was the first to have this birthday and I forgot to take a photo of his toddler traits before he aged up. The higher you get a toddler's traits the better off they start out as a teen in terms of how smart they are, monsters under the bed you have to deal with at night, you name it.

Higher scores help you in the long run. You can see by Braydon's teen scores he did make it past level 3 in all his toddler traits.

Not all scores shown below are the final scores of the toddlers. I did make sure to get everyone's score to at least level 3 but as stated before there is a not a lot of time to breath while playing the game. Remembering to take screenshots really isn't your top priority. lol

I'm going to say my score ended up in the Certifiable Model Caregiver category. 😹

If you ever need a good laugh I would highly suggest trying this Sims 4 Challenge.

Make someone smile today. It can not hurt you.

Potty training a child can be a pain, let alone 7!

I laughed so hard when I read that....... It explained a LOT of why the darn Butler was such a pain LOLL and yeah :( saw that. I think I had my bitrate up to high again from filming something while not streaming :( Thank you for trying though!!!

The nostalgia is strong in this one :D

Didn't forget about that video btw, just haven't got the time to make it yet. Will do soon enough. Is there a time limit of some sort in which we need to get 5k steemians on there?

Not that I know of. Any word is a good word 😊

that makes me happy too that I could bring back good memories to you also :D

hahahahaha this was so fun to watch! totally brought me back to my Sims addiction days :) LOLOLOL

i've never played 4
amazing how they keep upgrading everything!

I can just imagine you laughing throughout this whole thing - and the butler hating kids and being squeamish is a riot!!!!!! LLOLOLOL

loved this @snook! hehehe

yesssssssss and a new expansion is coming out on the 15th again..one where you can be a movie star :D

This one WAS a TON of fun and laughing all through it was very true!!! How can you not!! but yes, very addicting too :D

Awwa this is the sweetest challenge!!! I laughed reading it... and yes Sims do like to throw in their little sense of humor. lol Your butler, that's so funny!

I loved the house it is very cute and functional. But I didn't see any potty chairs :D

Also, I couldn't get one child to 5!!! I know you did it before, but trying for all the kids in seven days!!! That's a challenge.

I'm so glad you are having fun!

the chairs were hiding behind the toy chest loll

You would love this one.pull your hair out too..and the Butler was just way too funny....... He really was......it was the icing on the cake :D

It was entertaining, listening to your talking about the ins-and-outs of this challenge and watching the house and the characters come together! That was, indeed, largely how I was as a child, entertaining myself by reading and playing quietly! And most of the time was well-behaved, too. My mother would often come looking for me because she didn't hear me making noise like my brother did... LOL!

Even as an adult, I had a job in an office where the boss would occasionally call an impromptu meeting. Very often, he would be halfway through the meeting and then realize no one came back to my corner and told me to come to the Conference Room. So, yeah, you were spot on with my SIM. 😂

HA! that is very cool!! Now you need to get sims so you can play you :D

I'm so happy you ended up liking your Sim. THAT makes me very happy!! hugs
