My Ulog #30 I'll be Your Doctor for Today
Literally, I'm not a doctor or a nurse, but now, I need to take care of my younger brother, he had a flu due to the bad weather. It is a common illness these days. My brother, he had a fever last Saturday and I gave him medicine and told him to take a rest, within that day he felt better. Sunday, my mom told me he did many things, he went to his classmate, he caught fishes and he did cycling.
What's the result? He got fever and flu again. I told him. Why are you so stubborn? You must not go anywhere because you're not totally okay. He keep silent, I told him, come on, let's change your clothes, papa will take you to Nana Sita (she's good in massaging muscles and joints). I prepare his breakfast, I gave him medicine, and prepared his things.
I went to Dagupan to pay our internet bills and after that I bought some fruits for my younger brothers. As I got home, I checked him.
I took the thermometer and his body temperature is 38℃, it's above the normal. I sliced the apple and told him to eat, and I said, drink a lot of water. I always checked his water bottle. After it, I wash the fruits that I bought and I put some in a small box like a basket. And advised him to eat when he's hungry.
He said: "Salamat ate ed sayay prutas ah". (Thank you sis for the fruits) Oh teary eyes. Lol.
Every minute I check him and every four hours I gave him paracetamol. And this evening we decided to bring him in the hospital, we packed all the things needed. But we couldn't get in our way to the hospital because it was raining. My brother lay down again and asked me to put pain reliever on his head. I gently massage his head and knead his shoulder also his hands and feet. He's calm now and I'm still a doctor to him. My mom and I still watching him and always checking his body temperature. I'm worried but I pray that he'll get well soon.
