How To "NOT" Support Writers

It has been a good few days.. I am back to writing. I know that I have missed this for quite some time. But, now I am back.

A little brief at the beginning I guess..

So, you know when you have left writing for sometime. You come back as a new writer. Some of your followers or people who are interested in your content will be gone and you are like starting from the beginning.

Since I am back to writing now, I have noticed something. There are some posts which people put efforts in. I am not saying that they are the best just because there is an effort. I am saying that someone has put an effort to put all of this together.

Moving on...

It is difficult to keep moving forward when you are not heard or when you go unnoticed..

I came across some posts and I saw this:

It is important for the writer to see engagement on his writing. It may benefit the writer more when he sees comments. So, he would know how to tailor his next piece better. But, at least a thumbs up, like or upvote or whatever is it called on the platform that you are using (if you are writing/reading in other platforms).

If we are not supporting each other here, then we will all might go unnoticed..

I am not suggesting that someone would have to go and read everything. Sometimes, you can read a part of an article and see if you like it, you continue. If not, you move on to the next one.

If you cite someone you should mention the source.

Unnoticed, isn't that the case with most of us? Most likely not only if it comes to social media but also in the offline world. Imagine you sit behind your screen and stare, wait, hope for a beep but no one shows up. What to do next?
Some keep writing, and posting because it is what makes them feel good. I know quiet a few who are doing this no matter if they are read or receive an upvote and they do put effort in what they write.

You know many of my posts are never read, and only a few (not even 5) did read me in 2024. Others only show if there's something to gain, or they feel the urge to respond and even that's rare since many never read their notifications.

Can we survive as an individual on this platform? Many can. Perhaps they just use it as a way to ventilate or leave traces behind of their life. Others will leave because they feel neglected but many of those who do never took the time to comment themselves. You only have to look in the comment section of an average account what it looks like.

Commenters? They aren't rewarded and there are SC teams who simply ignore that rule set. As long as the commenter is ignored by the receiver and the system wo benefits from it (a platform without commenters will die very soon) there's a huge problem.
Now we can state that "money" is the only reason why people refuse to comment but the fact is they do spend many hours on WhatsApp, Discord, X, Instagram, FB and don't get paid there either. So what is the problem? How come people don't find the time to write to 2 or 3 people per day?

I visited about 70 communities in December and I can tell you exactly where comments are left behind and where it's always empty or where the only comment is send by a bot from a witness. How pathetic is that?

It's good to see you back and I hope you set an example and will start commenting. Even if you don't read you can still bond with people and chat or ask how they are doing. That is if you think it's important and since you write about this topic I believe it is.

A great evening to you.

In my writings, I try to be generic. I didn't notice this here to be honest. At least from what I have experienced so far with you guys. It is not the case here today.

Some keep writing, and posting because it is what makes them feel good. I know quiet a few who are doing this no matter if they are read or receive an upvote and they do put effort in what they write.

I guess that is the case with me. I write because I enjoy writing. Sometimes, there are some ideas that you have within and the best way to express them is to write. It helps me memorize the information that I come across too.

Regarding the rewards.

Well, it should be someone's main focus I guess. Except, if their niche is about making money. Apart from that, writing should be enjoyable and beneficial to oneself. I am just writing, because, sometimes it feels like you want some interaction. It is exactly what I am seeing here from you.
I enjoyed this comment as you have touched on every aspect of the thread. I know it is a bit generic and not about FreeWriters community per-sey. But, I was glad to see your comment.

Likewise, I wish you have a great evening and a really happy new year ahead =D.

The freewriters stand for free writing which is basically writing without second thoughts or writing down first how your story will develop. It's a relaxed way of writing, no stress, no need to ask AI for answers or let it write for you. That's what the community stands for and I hope those who write will read and comment others as well. Ican't support everyone.

A happy Saturday!

I have no negative feedback to be shared about this community until now. I know that I have not been here as long as other users have been. But, all the feedback that I can say about this community is good.

I reiterate, the thread was generic and it is talking about other platforms. It is not the case here. I know that you put an effort here. It is understandable that you cannot view everyone's posts.

Thanks for passing by & have a great year =D..
