Cryptid Hunter August Curator Announcement & Rule Updates
1. Cryptid Hunter Selected as August Steemit Curator
Cryptid Hunter has been selected as an official curator for August on the Steemit platform.
Throughout this month, we will continue voting for users who play the game and create content related to Cryptid Hunter.
At the same time, we will actively proceed with service development and updates.
2. Cryptid Hunter Curator Voting Rules
Unlike general bounty hunter systems, our curation will prioritize actual in-game activity and meaningful contributions:
- Users who actively use Cryptid Hunter and utilize various features will receive stronger votes.
- Users who make in-game purchases will also receive priority voting.
- Users who comment on Cryptid Hunter-related posts may receive votes as well.
- Users who promote Cryptid Hunter in external communities or help bring in new Steemit users will be considered for voting.
Note: Steemit Foundation restricts voting for users who are currently performing a Power Down.
This is intended to encourage users to retain SP (Steem Power) and participate in the Steemit ecosystem long-term.
We recommend using your SP for voting and other community activities to earn rewards.
The Steemit Foundation provides additional voting rewards for 7 recommended posts each week.
If a user performing a Power Down is selected, they may be excluded from voting rewards. If you hold a sufficient amount of SP, you can delegate your SP to earn over 10% annual compound interest.

3. Cryptid Hunter Updates
STEEM Reward Pool System (Coming in August)
- A new system will allow users to burn NOVA tokens to receive STEEM as rewards.
- The reward cycle may operate on a daily or weekly basis (to be finalized after testing).
- Especially for users with low mining power, saving NOVA and burning it at the right time may result in greater rewards.
Energy Flask Adjustments
Item | Before | After |
---|---|---|
Price | 0.05 STEEM | No change |
Required for recharge | 20 Flasks | Increased to 50 Flasks |
Purchase unit | Any amount | Changed to multiples of 10 |
- STEEM spent on Energy Flasks is added to the Cryptid Hunter reward pool daily.
- Currently, the voting reward exceeds the daily cost of energy recharging, so increasing the energy cost is expected to help establish a healthier economic loop.
4. Support the @roadofrich Witness Vote
The @roadofrich
account has been dedicated to building and maintaining services on the Steem blockchain for years.
However, due to limited promotional activity and community engagement, it has been excluded from the Top 20 Witness list.
We believe this does not fairly reflect the contributions made, and being in the Top 20 could allow us to add an additional STEEM reward pool to Cryptid Hunter.
Please support by voting at the link below:

5. Your Participation Powers Cryptid Hunter
- The more users actively participate, the more Cryptid Hunter will grow in value and receive new updates and content.
- Continued curator selection and entry into the Top 20 Witness list are only possible with the support of the community.
- We are also planning to propose funding through STEEM DAO to develop unreleased content.
We sincerely appreciate all players who enjoy the game, share feedback, and help spread awareness in other communities.
Thank you for being a part of the Cryptid Hunter journey.

😱
That’s definitely not what the financial support from the Steemit accounts was meant for!
The big votes are supposed to encourage users to power up. They're meant to help people build their own stake so they can support others in turn.
My goodness, where have we ended up?

If you have something to say, please tell us. These things don't help much.
I appreciate your opinion—it raises an important point.
First of all, I personally do not support the use of vote bot services.
However, the reality is that many Steemit users are in favor of using vote bots, and when trying to explain the advantages of holding SP (Steem Power) to new users and investors, especially in regions like Korea, the most immediate examples tend to be vote bots or curation rewards.
Moreover, vote bot services are actively being used and promoted within the current Steemit ecosystem, and there is no official stance against them.
For that reason, I don’t see a reason to avoid mentioning them.
If you are against this structure, I encourage you to speak up publicly to the users and operators of vote bots.
As for me, I’ve been consistently raising concerns about the current curator system through the concept of "bounty hunters", and I have repeatedly discussed this issue.
But pointing fingers at wording or making accusations won’t change anything.
We need to keep discussing the problems, sharing them with others, and pushing the conversation forward.
Let’s be honest—just because you and I have opposing views about vote bots doesn’t mean they’ll suddenly disappear.
There are, indeed, hypocritical users on Steemit, and sometimes that hypocrisy is what earns them more votes.
That’s precisely why we need clear, constructive dialogue and user education.
If we truly want to address the issues around vote bots or bounty hunters, we need to clearly explain the problems, continuously raise our voices, and persuade the community—
not through blame or condemnation, but through reasoned conversation.
Your concerns are valid, and I share many of them.
Let’s keep the dialogue going and work together toward a better Steemit ecosystem.
That may be very commendable and honorable, and I'm sure you have your (probably positive) reasons for it. But to recommend those services in the same breath... Well, I find that pretty counterproductive.
I know the reality. I know it all too well — and now, having been part of a curator team myself, I’ve been confronted with it again in its most extreme form.
The moment I saw the first Upvu vote years ago, I made my stance clear. Publicly. Hundreds of hours, thousands of comments, countless discussions. Sure, even back then, about all the auto-votes and vote-buying bots. That’s when creativity began to die, and greedy capitalists started to take over. Back then, we still had our little niches...
Forget it. I’m tired. So very tired.
I won’t raise my voice again.

1 steem ->2.5 steem

Hi @roadofrich
I have voted your witness account and this time I'll try to play your game too.
Thank you for your support :)
