Time to Stay in the Battle
2Sa 11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.
We know the story of David and Bathsheba! I believe the key to what caused this "man after God's own heart", to fall into sin, comes from the fact that he left the battle.
It was a time to fight and he was home!
He wasn't looking for sin, but he had let down his guard and took on the life of ease for a season.
If he was in the battle, where he was supposed to be, he would have never seen Bathsheba bathing on the rooftop.
The course of events that followed would have never take place!
Murder, a baby conceived that would later die and judgment that came to his house and kingdom.
The bible calls ever believer a priest and king " Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.".
Rev. 1:6, 1 Pet. 2:9. He has given us power over all the power of the enemy. He has given us spiritual weapons against a spiritual enemy.
I have seen pastors leave the battle and fall I to sin!
I have seen brothers and sisters in Christ, leave the battle, look for ease in this life.
Look for a time of rest from the battle and even lose their will to fight all together.
People that love the Lord, disengage from the fight.
For these, there is no distinguishable difference from them and those in the world. The love of the world and clinging to their own life of ease has all but completely taken over. Like David, once on fire, once living a holy life, once engaged in the battle, but now you can hardly see Christ, the light and candle has been obscured. Sickness, sin, doubt, fear, prayerlessness, no fight, no victory, embarrassing the self life and wondering where the Joy of the Lord went.
The great thing is we have repentance. Like David, there are most likely eternal consequences for our refusal to fight and our losing our first love. It took Nathan to show David his sin! David could see it as sin in someone else, but could not see it in his own life. It is time to repent and get back into the fight!
Like no other time in history, IT IS TIME TO FIGHT! It is time to take off the gloves, lay down our belly, our sleep, our money and time. It is time to get back into the battle, take the Sword of the Spirit, the Shield of Faith. Time first to be fully submitted to God! Wear the robes of white, engage the enemy clothed in the Righteousness of Christ Jesus.
Before your Bathsheba (temptation) comes along, get in the battle!
There is still time to know your God and do exploits.
Resist this devil and he will flee!
Time to chase sickness out of your home!
Time to overcome the weakness in your life!
Time to ask God for mercy and rebuke the devil! Get out of my house, away from my marriage, away from my kids.
Pray for your neighbor, your nation, Israel, and other nations.
Time to maintain revival fires, have extra oil, awake from the slumber, let Christ shine on you!
The Greatest Investment with Eternal Dividends
Time to forget about the 2nd, 3rd, 4th flat screen TV.
The greatest investment there is, is the Kingdom.
Time to advance the Kingdom!
To pray, preach and give! Night time is quickly approaching. A time when no man can work. Jesus is coming back!
Judgments are coming upon the earth. He will start in His House!
You can make a difference!
It is God's Word! Submit to God, resist the devil, the devil will flee!
Whatever you have done, the blood of Jesus can make you perfectly clean again.
God's mercies are new every single morning.
Pro 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
2Sa 11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.
2Sa 11:2 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.
Exhortation from the Word of God!
Thank you!
My thoughts from the Philippines today.

I think it's important to physically rest so that our bodies can recover from a days work and stay healthy, but I also understand the importance of sticking to a personal mission statement.
I agree with rest, exercise, eating well to stay healthy. The Bible teaches there is a spiritual war that we are involved in. Eph. 6:12. In the Old Testament as I used David as an example. They were fighting men against men. The battle I am speaking of is a spiritual battle.
