Trying to tell me something? Imprinted by LightCaptured

Quite interesting experience yesterday...

My first public parking ended with a ticket.

One of those places, where the no-parking road traffic signs are intentionally put in places that aren't logical or hard to see.

There is a special term in Bulgarian for such scenarios and the places are called "Хранилка" or "Feeder" as they are designed to make you fall into their traps so a ticket is issued. Well, I am not aware of a compatriot who shares a positive feeling towards our traffic police, for that matter, and many more actually.

More fun comes here. Those tickets are issued while the driver is away and they cannot be appealed, also by design. Nice, huh? The whole act really amazed me, as I was away from the car for about 4 minutes so the guy issuing the ticket must have been waiting somewhere pretty close and real quick, as there was a lot of handwriting implied.

Anyway. Now I am trying to read what the universe is trying to tell me. Still reading it... Apart from being extra careful and not trusting any authorities... we'll see.

Here are a few photographs from the beautiful small city of Samokov in Southern Bulgaria, maybe totally unrelated to the topic of the post today or maybe not...

All these endlessly irritating things tell me personally only one thing: run away (from this absurd country). This can be read from 100 kilometers away, no special skills needed lol 😂
It reminds me of the traffic cops who used to hide in the bushes back in the day. And now I'm also thinking, this guy must be holding pre-filled forms by hand to be able to act so quickly, and from a distance at that... disgusting. But I know what you're talking about - a typical local method of filling the looted state coffers. It's so irritating that it forces you to just stop thinking about it or you'll get sick...😔

Parking ticket in London, 25 years ago: GBP 35
Parking ticket in BG now: EUR 10

Some still hide in the bushes. Everything has +and- ;)

From the perspective of the state it is good - salaries for several persons, income into the county budged, empty side of the road. What's bad about that...

What's bad about that...

Are you the one asking this question? 😃I hope not.
I've heard horror stories about traffic cops firsthand, and while I've never personally been stopped and searched for anything by a cop, it's a very special feeling to see one and instead of him instilling in you a sense of security, protection and respect, to instill fear and the knowledge that he will never help you if needed.
I am aware that the fines in other countries are brutally high, but I also suspect that there the rules are also clear, there are no hidden, misplaced, disguised, misleading signs that make citizens constantly wonder - are they in violation, or not, I also assume there are no government officials lurking around the corners of buildings and bushes...

Are you the one asking this question?

Sarcasm.
Just checking if you're paying attention! :P

The unknown sometimes is more appealing than the known, it seems ;)
