PixelCraft: A Community-Powered Pixel Art Game on Steem

Hello Steemians,

I'm excited to introduce PixelCraft, a creative, blockchain-based game currently in the planning stages , where our community works together to bring pixel art to life, one pixel at a time. This is more than just a game; it's a social experiment, a creative outlet, and a fun challenge, all powered by the Steem blockchain.

What Is PixelCraft?

PixelCraft is a pixel coloring challenge where:

• I'll provide a black-and-white outline of a pixel image (pre-drawn canvas without color).
• Anyone in the community can participate by adding colors to specific pixels.
• There are 32 different colors to choose from.
• Every pixel you color will be saved on the blockchain, tied to your account.
• The person who colors the most pixels wins the round and receives a reward.

Game Objective & Completion

The canvas for each round is 1000 x 1000 pixels, which equals exactly 1,000,000 pixels.

The game ends once all pixels in the image are filled with color.

At that point:

• The final image will be saved under the name of the winner.
• A new image will be prepared, and a new round begins.

How It Works

Each time a pixel is colored:

• The action is stored directly in a blockchain comment's metadata.
• This includes your username, pixel location, chosen color, and a secure hash to verify it's a valid action from the game system.
• To keep the system fast and responsive, I also track activity off-chain (outside the blockchain) for real-time updates, like the leaderboard and pixel display.

This system ensures that:

• All actions are verifiable and public.
• No fake contributions can be counted.
• Anyone can audit the process.

How to Participate

There are two simple ways to join the fun:

1. Free Option

• Users can color 1 pixel every 5 minutes.

2. Premium Option

• Send 0.001 STEEM to null to color 5 pixels instantly.
• This is a small token burn that supports increasing Steem's value.

Tracking Progress: Leaderboard

A real-time leaderboard will track how many pixels each player has colored.
It will include:

• Usernames
• Total pixels contributed
• Rank

This allows everyone to see who's leading, encouraging friendly competition.

Winner and Prize

At the end of each round (when all 1,000,000 pixels are filled):

• The top contributor is named the winner.
• They will receive a 1-month Steem Power (SP) delegation as a reward.

Example:

If "/@steemfan" colors 12,340 pixels, and that's the most in the round, they win:

• They receive the Steem Power delegation for one month.

Prize Scaling & Rule Adjustments

The game's rules can adjust based on the size of the prize pool and community participation.

This flexible structure keeps the challenge balanced and fair, and makes the Premium feature more powerful when the reward is bigger.

• This means anyone is free to use, modify, share, or even sell the final artwork without needing permission or giving credit (though credit is always appreciated).
• The purpose of this license is to ensure no legal or ownership disputes arise over the collaborative art and that everyone can freely benefit from what we create together.
• While the final artwork is public domain, individual pixel contributions remain recorded on the blockchain, credited to each user’s Steem account for transparency and recognition.

By participating, you agree that your contributions to each image are part of a collective work released openly for the public good.

What's Next?

I wish to collect feedback, gather some sponsors, and start the project. I want to emphasize that I didn't start building this project as a solo endeavor. This is an idea I want to develop with the community, and I've already begun collecting prizes.
