The Diary Game: Feeling Happy Watering the Plants in the Afternoon

Today is Black Saturday. We all stayed in the house for the whole. We experienced too much heat nowadays so we didn't go out under the heat of the sun. They both slept after lunch.

Because they slept too much, they have more energy stored. When my elder daughter wakes up at 4 in the afternoon, I bring her outside the house. The sun started to go down and it's not hot anymore.

I have some vegetable seedlings beside out house. Ever since I was a kid I love to plant especially my late father encourage me to do it. It's our way of bonding when we was still alive. I stopped planting when he's gone because everytime I plant, I remembers him. When we transferred in our new home year 2023, there is no plants that surrounds our house. Recently last month, my passion in planting drives me happy again.

We had lots of 10-liter plastic bottles because my daughters drink distilled bottled water. To recycle it, I decided to use it in my back yard vegetable planting. I had a hard time realizing my garden since it is hard to find good planting soil in our place. I need to buy soil with mix vermicast and animal manure so I can plant more, but it is a bit expensive. Here are my seedlings;

• Cucumber
• Tomatoes
• Green chili
• Egg plant
• Lettuce
• Spring onion

It is my hobby to water the plants every morning and afternoon. We had a puso negro or the water pump near my garden. I used traditional way of watering the plants with a dipper. When my father was alive, we do selling seedlings and I was the delivery girl. Everytime I water the plants I always miss my father's green thumb.

When my daughter saw me, she approached me and tried to help me watering the plants. I gave her a little dipper and teach her how to do watering plants. I was happy looking at her and thinking if she will have the same hobby as mine. Anyway i will just let her discover her hobby for as long as she is happy with it.

After we do the watering of plants, we went inside the house since it is getting darker. I am happy to see that my cucumber plant is now having a flower and sooner it will be fruit and that is a simple happiness from a gardener.
