Introducing Steem Music & Voices Community

Years back, we used to have Stars of Steem community, where users got the opportunity to sing to become a star, but it's quite unfortunate that such a community wrapped up. Even the Steem Skillshare community, where you get to share all skills you have, be it craft, vocals, art, etc., was wrapped up.

We had a lot of talented users then, but not until these communities disappeared. Our young talents went back into their shells. Contemplating community management and requirements over the years wasn't enough to renew lost hopes. After being in the blue for 2 good years, we decided to make this year a stepping stone for introverts who have talents in music, dance, vocal training, etc. to be visible again, but not until a contest or competition arises for such.

Placing our vision and mission at the forefront, we decided to name this community Steem Music and Voices. What actually prompted the creation of this community, which will be elaborated on in the course of this post, is that we needed a stage for the Vos-25 singing competition. We needed a place where people would come and watch us sing instead of singing in people's music studios, so to speak.

Aside from this motive of creating a stage, what does the community entail? Music or songs ? Singing? What if I'm not more of a singer? Before answering these, let's look at the users that makes up this community.

The community has just one founder, which is @bossj23. Due to the fact that he's currently hosting a singing competition and this competition is in dire need of a stage, he decided to create this community on the 18th of August, 2025 even though he had thought of it for years. These are the two users we have as admins for the meantime. They'll be labelled after the singing competition, as these two work as a judge and contestant. These are the labels they'll have for our staged performance until the competition ends.

We have no moderator in the community yet. There'll be an avenue to recruit moderators properly instead of going corners.

This community is a new community created on the 18th of August, 2025, with the motto "Sing, Get Trained and be Perfect". It's a community not just for posting musical content and other content related to songs and podcasts, but also a training ground for both introverts and extroverts who have talents in singing, voicing out on matters arising, debates, etc.

It was created to stage the singing competition that's ongoing #vos-25. After the competition, contests would be made available, trainings, entertainment and all sorts of contents. For now, posts other than the competition we're running can't be made. If you're a fan, you can post about the contestant you admire in terms of his or her voice.

This community aims at facilitating and encouraging young and old talents. This can be possible if users get to sing and post in the community, listen to songs and express how those songs touch them in words or in video. Our mission is to bring introverts out of their shells and expose their raw talents to the world.

Everyone has a voice. Everyone should be heard, appreciated and seen. Our mission also involves using songs to heal depressed Steemians in this community, Steemians that have been badly wounded by life's anxieties and the like. We also aim at giving everyone an opportunity to give advice to the younger generation with regards to marriage, friendship, relationships, life and suffering through podcasts. It's true that written words have the power to inspire, but spoken words have the power to heal and activate.

We will reach these objectives by hosting series of training on how to do an effective podcast development, how to sing and inspire, how to create emotional videos with songs and pictures

Our vision is to reach the heart of everyone on this platform through spoken words from written words. Some users tend not to understand or feel the impact of written words. Words are healing properties when expressed. This is when Voice in the community's name comes in. We also want this community to be a promotional factor for the Steemit platform and its coin. Music has the power to make one lively and active when writing. We also have the vision of creating a music album on the platform where every Steemian can write and own a song of their own regardless of the language. Organising debate competitions with other communities is what we'll add in our future plans. The community would forever remain until we have achieved our vision.

As a new community with 1k delegated SP and no curation trail, we have concluded to support our users externally by rewarding them with steems when contests are hosted in the community. With the help of the curators, quality content would be supported. We would do our best to ensure we host contests on a weekly basis with reasonable prizes [Steem and Puss coin] to encourage users in the community.

We plan on growing this community's SP by initiating 100% power up until the community has sustainable Steem Power to stand on its own. Rewards for contests held would be given by the Admin @bossj23. The contests held will help add to our SP when we receive support from the Steemit team and curators.

The community has the name 'Steem Music and Voices. It's a community for musical content and expressions using podcast mechanisms.
