'Poliroll' - New Original Music - Playing Around w/ ROLI Seaboard - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough
This isn't a full tune,
nor an idea that I would ever really expand into a 'full song', but I was using the ROLI Seaboard, so I figured it would be a good share. The Seaboard is a really interesting midi keyboard, and is so much fun to play. It's entirely made of this soft, foamy stuff, which feels so cool when you're using it; it also allows you to do all kinds of crazy bends, slides and vibratos on the keyboard, which I didn't demonstrate here, but definitely will in a future tune, cause you can get some really non-keyboard-like sounds out of it.

All the sounds here are from
the two ROLI brand sound libraries included with the device, synths and drums. You also get free access to the Strobe2 library, which I've used before on a number of tracks. There isn't really anything too wild happening here, though the full progression (Tracks 2 and 4) takes place over a bar and a half, while other things, like Tracks 1 and 3, just play every bar/every 2 bars, so there's a cool back and forth effect between all the instruments. Track 5 is the drums, and Track 6 a little lead that I added last minute; I bounced it down to an audio clip, then messed around with the transposition modulation. Not sure why, perhaps just boredom.
