Hello Steemians @glorystar21 is my name. I am here again to participate in the contest "Prove yourself as the best artist for the week". When I saw this contest, I was excited because I made mentioned of Drawing is my thing so I am an artist, this was what I said. Drawing is not something that you wake up one day and start shading. Before you draw, you need to be ingenuity in order for you to create something tangible at the end. Let me give more insight before about Art before I begin.
Art is a process or product of human creativity or ingenuity. Art is when we use our hands to create something beautiful. We can colour, sketch, paint, or even create a collage, It is just like playing, but we create something unique that brings you joy.
For instance , creating a lovely image of a flower while shading with your pencil. There is always fun and being creative when it comes to art, that's why we use a variety of tools like pencils, crayons, markers, and even our fingers including colours.
Back to where I stopped, first of all, my gratitude goes to Steem Fashion&Style the moderator and the members in that community, and a big thanks to @dequeen for making this contest a success.

Actually I draw a picture of this Nigerian fashion designer and a gospel singer named Ruth James, popularly known as Veekee James.

I won't lie i didn't write my name and date before starting because I was carried away by the drawing.
I started by drawing the grid lines to make my drawing easier, with that I was a little bit faster. I made a sketch of the face before going back to the body part. I now went back fixing the eye, eyebrows and eyelashes. Then move over to the nose and the month, now the shading begins. I started bringing by bringing up her face to life making look so real, I moved over to the hair part. I carefully outline the edges of the hair, head, ears and jaws.
The next step was the adding of more shading to the hair to darken it so I worked it out to make it look as if it the same. Moving over to the facial facial features I focus more attention by detailing everything about the face and the earing.
Lastly was the shoulder part and what she put on. I carefully balance it with my sketch pencil eraser to make sure it was creative. Also I used my sketch pencil eraser to lighten the forehead, nose, cheeks and earrings

How long did take to complete your drawing and how do you feel about it.

It took me 5 hours to complete this drawing I felt happy because I actually achieve what I wanted.
