Journey to the cold city: Takengon with steemian friends

Today is one of the days I have been waiting for the most. Together with my steemian friend @aril.hatake and several other friends, we started our journey to Takengon, a cold city famous for its natural charm and legendary Gayo coffee. We used a rental car for this trip, which provided comfort and flexibility during the trip.

The journey started very early in the morning. The cool morning air added to our enthusiasm to enjoy every moment of the journey. The car drove through winding roads, accompanied by green views of the stretching hills. The atmosphere in the car felt lively, with warm chats about various things, from the experience of writing on Steemit to plans for activities in the city of Takengon.

As we entered the mountainous area, the air began to turn cooler, giving a different fresh sensation. At several points, we stopped for a moment to capture the moment and enjoy the stunning natural scenery. One of our favorite stops was at a point with a view of a valley filled with thin mist. It felt like being in another world, calm and far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Before arriving in Takengon, we also had the chance to taste the local cuisine at one of the roadside food stalls. Simple but warm dishes, such as batagor "fried tofu meatballs" and rice became additional energy for us to continue the journey. This food plus the friendliness of the locals, provided an unforgettable experience.

Upon arrival in Takengon, we were immediately greeted by the cold atmosphere typical of the highlands. This city really gives an extraordinary first impression. The view of the expansive freshwater lake is the main attraction that immediately captivates our hearts. The gentle breeze blowing around the lake provides a sense of calm that is difficult to express in words.

The trip to Takengon with my steemian friends was an extraordinary experience. Not only enjoying the beauty of nature and culture, but also strengthening the bonds of friendship between us all. This moment reminds us that travel is not only about the destination, but also about the experiences and togetherness created along the way.

Takengon with all its charm, gave us sweet memories that we will always bring home. Hopefully this trip will be the beginning of other more serious adventures in the future.
