[PLAY STEEM] Release of Android App (APK) for Steemit
Hi, this is @etainclub.
This is the first time to post in this community.
I have been developing mobile apps for steemit for more than 8 months.
Now I am happy to announce the release of the android apk file first.
Next will be ios app if apple allows the app to be registered in app store.

You can look around the source code. I am certain that your keys never leaves the device and are stored in the keychain securely.

Beneficiary Cut
The app implements several mobile only features such as push notifications. For these unique functionalities, it costs money. So small portion of author's reward will be set to the official account @playsteemit as a beneficiary.
Features to cost money
- Push Notifications (Googles' Firebase, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging , Heroku app)
- Search (Google's Custom Search)
- Translation (Google's Translation)
Beneficiary Portion
The current beneficiary cut is set to 5% of the author's reward. For your information, most dapps charge 10-15% of beneficiary cut. The ratio can be changed based on management condition and user's opinions.

Yeah ... just don’t mention tasks or rewards ... it’s just a Blogging platform where you can give likes and dislikes but the likes give you more clout or something like that.

There was a problem with locale. I guess your device's locale is en-JP.
Due to the locale issue, the app could not start.

No success to see the feed screen? Which device are you using? I might try a simulaor of the device model. If the network conditions are bad or device is low-end then it might happen.
Yes, it just stuck at this screen. I'm using HUAWEI Mate 20 lite. I think wifi network is great at my place. Maybe my phone setting or system is not compatible.
I am sorry for your inconvenience. Could you remove the app and re-install it? I guess you already did it.
I will test in the simulator if it is available.
I did all those; uninstall, reinstall to both versions and also restart/off my phone, still the same. I was very excited to try this app and seems like maybe it doesn't like me 😅
That's sad. I will look into this. If you are a developer or know hot to use android studio, then you can check the logcat. If you send me the log, it will be great help to resolve the issue.
I'm not a developer too, so can't help much there. I hope others have no problem with it. Maybe it's just my phone problem.

Are you in China?
If so, that's the reason. The app needs to connect to Google servers.

It would be the best if the app separates the google's features. But for now it seems not applicable.
I have not thought about this issue. I will consider this issue and think about right solution.
Hello @etainclub, before installing this app. which I find very interesting. I would like to know if it supports the Spanish language.
i am sorry but the app supports English and Korean for now. But the app supports translation of posts.
I am referring to the commands that can be read in Spanish.

How to validate the connection
The app simply requests to the Steem blockchain whether the key is valid. The app can distinguish whether the key is posting, active, or owner private key.

ok thanks, try installing both the 64 and 32 bit but when you open the application it stays on the initial screen that says play steem, my cell phone is android motog and I am located in Venezuela, do I have to do any special configuration?
i fixed an issue. could you download 64 bits and install the app again. if the problem happens again, then let me know.
