Weekly Report as Steem Representative, May 1st to May 7th, 2025
Hi, all fellow Steemians,
Good morning from Canberra,
It was another busy week, and this one was even busier as I was working overtime on the contest posts. And as they say, I was having a lot of troubles while my teammates in SC-24 were having their own quota of offline problems.
First, one of them lost her internet connection, and then another one had a long power cut. Finally, the third one fell sick and is probably out of action for the rest of the season. But we shall wait for him until this weekend and the do accordingly. I guess we the remaining three will have to shoulder the responsibility and do extra work from this week onward.
We shall manage the contest without any problem but can you imagine how busy I was on different fronts? Now that the second week of SC-24 is over and we are doing fine and successful, hopefully things will improve even if I will have to work extra, but that's part of the job, so no worries.
The only thing I am missing is my trips, as there was no time for any outing this week once again, and the way things are turning out, I see no outings in the coming weeks either.
The same was the case with my offline routine, as I was too busy with my official project, which is always the case after two consecutive long weekends first the Easter and the "ANZEC Day."
For your ready reference, Anzac Day was on April 25th, which is supposed to be in the remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, "Army Corps (ANZAC)" landing at Gallipoli during World War I. We have a park (Edison Park) just in front of our house where they gather in a big way.

My power-ups and reward summary
I am glad that I added 300 STEEM to my wallet this week, bringing my total close to 50K+ SP, including the balance that I intend to add on 14th May, which happens to be my third anniversary on this website.
Let me announce at this point that I am going to write my "Orka" post within a few days. I will be back in club100 in two days time but for the one Steem I transferred to disconnect by mistake.
I did a couple of posts in other SC-24 communities.
"SLC-S24/W1 - Tangled Emotion | The Powerful Conversation"
"SLC-S24/W3 - Powerful Debate | Love & Arguments".
Despite all the shortcomings, I am glad I did a travel post even if it was not a current trip. I have posted daily and there were couple of 'contests' for me in the ongoing season which feels good.

Newbie Promotional Program
A New Initiative to help newbies
I always vote for the best posts according to their quality and support them in my capacity as moderator and Steem Representative. As usual, my online or offline activities did not stop me from visiting and finding promising authors from the newcomers' community and selecting my quota of two of the best, under 50 rank, irrespective of their club status, communities, and countries.
I am proud to announce once again that I supported well over 100 newbies during the last 14 months, but the time is ripe when I think about different methods to support them every week, which should help them stay positive.
But I am planning to replace this program find something new soon to support newbies in their writing journey. I am planning to change its current forma and do something more creative also considering a couple of new strategies, like a "Travel Writing Contest" that will encourage them to share about their region and country.
However, I supported two more newbies, keeping them as beneficiaries in my different posts. As I always mention, I will keep supporting newbies, but my "Newbie Support Program will be different a few weeks from now since I am busy in SC-24 right now.
My selected users
As a routine, I selected the first "newbie," @lisflores, the first beneficiary of the week.
I selected for this post:
Mi presentación ante la comunidad Steemit
As usual, I am writing a message on the selected posts, and some of them understand the meaning of my message, so they feel happy and respond positively because they feel someone cares for them.
I posted a comment on her post
My second newbie beneficiary is @rosasaez
Her post
Welcome to my travel blog. I am Rosa Saez, a 55 year old passionate traveler. As a Venezuelan
A message on that post, which I have set as beneficiaries in this post:

I am planning to go sit in a cave
Moderator Duty
I completed my weekly duty as moderator, which took a lot of my time, but there were too few real travel posts and mostly diary posts. However, the even the few travelers posting their travel experiences compensated for my time and efforts.
However, I am quitting this responsibility, as I said I am planning to work in my own community and support newbies. This was not an easy decision but to do something different one has to take such decisions.
Again, I am trying my best to support genuine queries by Steemians, both new and old, through various channels to support them in spreading awareness and pacifying them in case anyone has a problem.
Once again, I am proud to announce that as SR, I try my best to support all good posts, but let me request of the authorities once again that the SRs should get more power to support Steemians with extra voting power to talented Steemians. I hope the Steem Team will see a point in my suggestion.
These are my regular posts.
My Account Summary
As usual, my CSI is in the range of 10-15, as I am supporting all who need my support; however, this week I could not visit as many posts because writing reports, moderation, and curation kept me busy on other assignments.
As usual, I am doing my job without any partiality, always thinking beyond any specific country or community, and supporting everyone on the platform on an equal basis. Last but not least, thanks to all the Steemians for all they do to support me and the Steemit platform in general.
That's all for this week!
Thanks, all; have a nice time ahead.
Yours sincerely,
Australian Capital Territory

Best of luck to you. I have been there—no power, no internet, no data, exams, busy schedules… countless reasons why teammates let me down, even though they were aware of their limitations from the outset. That, I found, was the worst part. I ended up doing most of the work while they took the credit. Undoubtedly, these are the moments when you truly learn about yourself and decide what you will, and will not, accept in the future.
The story doesn't end here as one of them is going out for next 8-9 days but the show must go on.
Because of illness or for different reasons? The only plus is I hope you are not doing it alone but if also that is possible and not necessary more time consuming than investing time in explaining, asking, waiting, checking, and jumping in last minute.
Take it easy and if necessary, simply vote for fewer and a bit higher or just fewer.
I wish you strength but above all a relaxed time.
As a team leader of SC-24, I have no option but to check all the posts and complete all the formalities. As a curator I could have done it easily though.
A team should be a team and everyone should do his/her share. It doesn't mean one does all the work and the others take the profit.
I know what you mean, I could see your writing style in all your weekly reports no matter whose name was there.
Yes, that's how it is. No matter what happens we stand for our word.
