What is Heavy Metal?
At Wikipedia they say:
Heavy metal (or simply metal or heavy rock) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. With roots in blues rock and psychedelic/acid rock, the bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness.
The Wind of change
I must say, that I love this song, as it is part of my own history and because I grew up in the neigbourhhood of Scorpions. They where always some of the idols of my youth.
Nickelback - Photograph
Creed - One Last Breath
What a video - Enjoy this slow metal from Creed
And read what other say.
I don't care what criticism they got in the past nor do I care about the over usage of green screen effects and the somewhat crappy late 90s Super Nintendo- donkey- kong- country- style 3D CGI Graphics in this video. I'm mesmerized by everything in this and I love it and I always will.
BONUS - 2 hours metal ballads
Found this nice compelation, and remember my Mix-Tapes. Thanks to M. Ribeiro 66 from Portugal who runs a nice channnel on YouTube

Here is my vote for a metal slow song.
\m/
Thanks - I just figured out that there are several definitons for SLOW
LOL. I like my metal pretty fast and loud so this is about as slow as it goes for me. =)
A new one for me. The audio on this is particularly good through my big speakers.
I just went back and checked out your post with Diamond Head who I have never really heard before!! Its great to hear new music from the people here! =)
It's old music, but I don't think they are as well known as they should be. I only really know that album, but it's a good one

Led Zeppelin Over the Hills and Far Away
King Crimson Epitaph
Black Sabbath I am going trough changes
Jooo, a great set of 3!
Epitaph is epic, wonderful song that reminds me of a desolate rambling western scenario somehow.
Maybe Greg Lake’s vocal has something to do with this. Btw I love his voice.
Got to agree, Greg Lake had a great voice.
Yeah, Epitaph ist der Hammer, ist auf meiner Lieblingsliederliste gaaaaanz oben.!
Great idea! @stevec suggested I share my entry with you!

Here are a few suggestions. I love a bit of rock
I like your choices, I'd like to share my own, which is a truly heartful song
Going to see them live tomorrow!
Thank you for your nice post!
rock music is a hallmark of metal boys, from the loud sounds of their songs to their distinctive styles.
creating a band like this is not easy, in addition to the vocalist who has a sound power to his music players who have outstanding skills, the most I like from this band type is drummer and bass player, because both are my soul.
1.) Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
This song always gets me pumped! One if the first metal songs I really got into.
2.) System is a Down - War?
SOAD is such a great band. I've been getting back into then recently. Screw all of the radio hits! There are a bunch of great tracks deep in their albums. I specifically love a live version of this song.
3.) Metallica - Master of Puppets
I don't think you can honestly round out any sort of metal list without Master of Puppets... I'm pretty sure it's illegal. 🤘
Disclaimer: I don't particularly care for slow metal songs... That's why I'm going fast ✊(sorry in advance) #metalweekend
@detlev
As I was reading Pantera I though myself
Jooo - just another definiton for SLOW ;-)
😂
Awesome idea, I'll submit one later. If you hear just one you like, it will open up the door to a band you maybe would have never connected to before.
