The price of anger
A scruffy old woman, often angry at minor things, moreover, whenever angry or malicious, has accidentally hurt many people, so she communicates with Neighbors friends are not harmonious.
She also knew her shortcomings, wishing to correct her mistake. But when it comes up, she can not control her own mind.
One day, a man said to her, "The temple has a Zen monk who is also a monk, why do not you come to ask for instruction, and the teacher can help you."
She also felt reasonable, came to consult with the teacher.
When she confessed her mood, she was very sincere, wishing to have some testimonies from the teacher. The meditator silently listened to her, waited for her to finish, led her into a meditation room, then locked the meditation room door and left.
She wanted to have the teacher's instructions, but unexpectedly the Zen master had locked her in a cold and dark room meditation. She shouted at me, as usual, she let go of evil words. But no matter how screaming she was, but still silent outside, the Zen master did not seem to hear any words.
When she no longer tolerated, she changed her attitude to ask the teacher to release her, but the teacher was not willing to change her behavior, despite what she continued to say.
After a long, long time in the meditation room no longer shouting or talking her anymore, at this time outside the meditation room the voice of the teacher asked: "Are you angry?"
So she angrily responded: "I am just angry with me, I regret to hear the words of others, find this evil place to ask your opinion."
The teacher said calmly, "Even if you do not release yourself, how can you forgive others?"
After a period of silence, the teacher asked, "Are you angry?"
She replied, "Get angry!"
"Why are you angry?"
"What anger do I have? Is not he still locked in this cold, dark room? "
"The more frightened she is, she suppresses her anger in one place, when it comes out, it's more intense," said the Master. he turned away.
The third time the teacher came back to ask her, she replied: "I'm not angry anymore, you do not deserve me angry!"
"The root of your anger is still there, and you need to get out of the vortex of anger," said the Zen master.
After a long time, she actively asked the Zen master, "Can you tell me what anger is?"
The Zen master came in, still not talking, only moving as if accidentally poured a cup of water in the glass in his hand.
At this point, she seemed to understand.
So I do not get angry, then do not angry angry? Mind is empty, there is nothing, what do you get angry?
I do not have anger in my heart, how can I get angry?
In fact, not only do we make ourselves miserable, but the people around us are sad. At an angry moment, nothing can stop the mouth, let go of evil words, some words in it can hurt the listener, even have loved ones care about themselves.
"The concept of the starting mind, the triumph of knowledge," just one recitation began, which resulted in thousands of obstacles arise.
So do not because the small things that cause harm to the harm, screaming is the behavior of the ignorant.
Although we may not be intelligent, at least we have enough intellect to prevent us from being a fool. Lose more weight than anything else, and find your interests in silence, enlightenment meditation in life. From that we will feel life without the fatigue as we think, nor the miserable as we have met.
Small things like the sand in your shoes make you uncomfortable.
Then you choose to shred the grain or throw away the shoes? We can not wear shoes, because the long way ahead, then why do not we shake off the grain of sand!
