Hello my friends in the Steemit Iron Chef community,,

Nice to meet you in today's recipe. For this opportunity I want to share a vegetable recipe with a little protein that is very suitable to be served as an appetizer for your lunch menu at home.

I chose several types of healthy and fresh vegetables and I also added a little animal protein in the form of delicious meatballs. In Indonesia this dish is called "Capcay" vegetables. There may be a slight difference with recipes in other countries. But I assure you that this recipe is very suitable for everyone's tongue.

I deliberately prepared this dish for a family lunch menu. No need to bother when preparing it because the ingredients I use are very easy to get.


Here are the ingredients:
  • 50 grams of broccoli.
  • 50 grams of white mustard greens.
  • 3 long beans.
  • 2 young corn.
  • 1 clove of onion, thinly sliced.
  • 1 carrot.
  • 7 chicken meatballs.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce.
  • Sufficient salt and flavoring.
  • 50 ml cornstarch solution.
  • Sufficient vegetable oil.
  • Sufficient water.

How to make:
  • Wash all vegetables and cut according to taste.
  • Slice the meatballs into several pieces.

  • Pour oil into a frying pan, then saute the onions until wilted.

  • Then add the carrots and baby corn.

  • Add 300 ml of water and let it boil.

  • Then add the long beans, then add the broccoli.

  • Finally add the chopped Chinese cabbage and the chopped chicken meatballs.

  • Add salt, flavoring and oyster sauce.

  • Stir briefly and finally pour in the cornstarch solution.

  • Cook for 3 minutes then turn off the stove.

From its appearance alone, this "Capcay" vegetable looks very delicious and rich in flavor and nutrition. The combination of several types of vegetables produces a color with an aroma that is tempting to the appetite.

Some tips:

  • Use fresh vegetables.
  • Do not cook too long to maintain the texture of the vegetables.
  • Do not use too much cornstarch solution because it will make the vegetables too thick.
