The Diary Game [11/01/2025] // Food Shopping /Curation with SC5 Account.
Steem greetings @everyone and welcome to my blog as I share another lifestyle content with you all. We are currently facing the worst harmattan season ever since I was born. Since November till date, no drop of rain to reduce the harmattan dust. It is common to see many suffering from flu and cough.
I always take precautions before stepping out of my house. I ensure to put on a facemask at least to avoid inhaling dust particles that will cause flu. I also put on my glasses since I have eye issues. The glasses will help prevent dust from entering my eyes.
This is one of the days I'm free and I used to buy some extra food items for the house. Before leaving the house, I had carried out the first curation phase with the SC05 account.
The roads were so scanty and unlike other Saturdays with heavy traffic on this stretch of the road. One could imagine how empty peoples pockets are after spending almost all on the festive season. Movement even in the market was so scanty and sellers complained that buyers were not available.
While at the market, I went to the section where farmers sell tomatoes and plantains. I bought a basket of tomatoes and a bunch of half-ripe plantains, some vegetables and green spices. I proceeded to another section of the market to buy eru, water leaf, okonghobong, Etc.
The last thing on my list that I bought was white yam. This is the season for white yam but the prices are exorbitant. I had to negotiate the price for three white yams and paid for them.
I decided to take a bike to return back home faster. I had a discussion with the bike man and negotiated the price to pay. He took me back home along with the things I bought. When I arrived home I was hungry and needed something to eat to stabilise my energy before resuming the final curation.
After eating I felt so tired and exhausted but I still had work to do. I then decided to bath and nap for about 3 hours before finally resuming curation. I completed curation and had to fill in the data on Google sheet.
When I was done with the curation process, I then prepared dinner for us to eat. I had nothing in mind to prepare but I wanted to fry some potato chips with omelettes. I ended up frying potatoes chips with omelettes mixed with fried ripe plantains.
Guys, it was a successful day with all my plans for the day fulfilled. It is a pleasure sharing this content with you and until another session of my lifestyle, it is goodnight from the motherland.

Yam this days in Nigeria is know longer for the common man again , it’s now for the rich and famous. Most of the yam comes from the northern part of the country but as a result of the unrest by those bandits, foodstuffs generally have become so high and the worse is yam!
The price of yam here is being manipulated by the sellers since they buy from Nigeria. Everyday in the market, they keep telling customers how the Naira fluctuates and prices keep soaring.
