Welcome to my daily Steemit Food Diary, This post is my diary about what I have been eating in my life. Whether it is a lunch, breakfast, dinner, snack, or maybe just a quick bite on someone else house.

It's been a while since my last post here. The place I am working for currently is growing well, something that is good regarding the global economy is not in good condition. As the result, I do not have proper time to write more on Steemit. So Today I manage to get some spare time to write this post.

Last month I tried my luck by getting this mix rice. I really did not know what this was. Usually when I know I have to get some lunch, but I have no clue what to order, I just come to the server and say give me some mix rice for XXX. This one was for 1.3 USD, and I had no clue what she would put into my plate. My head was too full and I just wanted to eat something

This was my vegetables, let started from this. Honestly I had no idea what this was and what should I call it. It was a stirfried water spinach with some bean sprouts. Then they added some peanut sauce with fried anchovies. It tasted weird, not bad, but weird.

This one was famous, a fried soy cake. The taste was good and I saw this was the only food I could recognize in my plate. Fried soy cake or tempeh goreng was a famous side dish we used to see in many Indonesian cuisine.

The last and the most important one was this main dish, some fried shrimps in tomato sauce. Again the taste was weird and later I asked the server what these shrimps were. she said it was Udang Saus Padang, or Shrimps in Padang sauce. Saus padang or Padang sauce should be sour and spicy, but this one was thick and sweet.

I will be honest here. It was a weird lunch, and I think I would not order the same anymore. However, I can say overall the taste is good, it was not a bad food, but it's more like I did not match or fond with the cook taste. The cook was definitely someone who liked sweet food.
