Vimm.tv is changing the game!
Ever since the uproar of twitch in 2015 I have been a massive fan of live streams, especially gaming live streams.
I got into League of legends in 2014, before that Counter-Strike has been my favorite all the way. Gaming live streams brought in a different, more exciting angle to the gaming world. Live streams created a more connected field and so much accessibility to content, content creation and content creators.
After Pewdiepie changed the gaming scene by being the first youtuber who popularized gaming videos on youtube and making it mainstream, not to mention making gaming on of the biggest niches on youtube, live streaming was the obvious next step of evolution.
Twitch evidently became the next big thing because not only did it give gamers a platform to show off their skills and take a bite of the celeb life, but also gave both the streamers and gaming enthusiasts a way to connect to eachother, realtime.
Today, the competitive gaming universe is massive. We have professional gamers. Yes, professional, full-time gamers. With the biggest esports prize pool being $24.6 million for the last year's International DOTA 2 competition.
The international esports gaming scene is, today, saturated with A class sponsorship from the biggest names, and rightfully so.
After all, the competition brings in millions in watch time both in live attendees and live stream viewers. Football stadiums get packed with viewers. The gaming scene is huge! Today, there also are discussions about making esport a legitimate sport, possibly even bringing them to the Olympics.
This all began through live streaming. Yes, there have been LAN competitions and local tournaments, but the live streaming took the esports scene to a whole different level.
The gaming community was looked down upon for a long time, but only after live streaming went online did the world see how massive and lucrative the esports world was. Live streaming proved to the world how huge the audience is and also showcased the diverse and exceptional talents there were around the world.
The gaming live stream also opened up a world full of opportunities, job wise. Developers, gamers, entertainers everybody could now make a living out of doing what they love. That reminds me of Sumail, a 15ish year old DOTA 2 player who made 200,000$ in his first year of professional gaming. Yes, 200,000$.
Live streamers were making a ton by doing what they loved through donations and sponsorships or even professional gaming. Passion was paying, young or old, passion was paying.
Personally, the IRL
section of twitch was the real golden ticket. Personally, I feel like the IRL
section of twitch took live streaming to whole new heights. Unfortunately, the section had to be closed for reasons I do not think do justice.
The favorite IRL
stream I ever watched was a all nighter sleeping stream whi9ch bagged around 10,000$ by IcePosiedon.
Streamers made millions, notably the most successful was "Ninja", for sure. His skill, entertaining charisma, and unrivaled talent, Ninja is the most popular and highest earning streamer, till date.
Clearly, live streaming is huge. Live streaming created a world of endless possibilities for content creators, gamers as well as entrepreneurs. Live streaming introduced a source of entertainment that pretty much annihilated television for the newer generation, gave everyone a chance to live off of their passion and create a massive business model that is getting bigger by the day.
A lot of platforms tried to ride the wave but no one could ever reach heights that twitch did because of it's loyal community, exclusivity and catering to gaming and streaming.
Twitch gathers more than 14 million active users a day!

I could go all day long about live streaming and how it changed the world we live in but I had to cut it short, as long as this is, I did cut it short.
Coming to Vimm.tv (phew, finally!)
@vimm, is the live streaming platform on the steem blockchain. And it is making some huge moves.
I first got to know about vimm and got attached to it when I came across @meanbees's stream. I highly recommend checking the stream out. I am a massive fan!
Today, I stumbled upon the "Curation Corner" show in The Ramble hosted by @shadowspub & @artemisnorth, who had @bembelmaniac as their guest talking about @vimm.
I AM STOKED
Vimm TV is making major moves and changing the game entirely. We already know and understand the benefits of the steem blockchain and how advantageous it is for the users. Bringing in niche that has such a massive community and introducing them to what they already love, but better, sounds absolutely fantastic.
Vimm is on the way to introducing a community that has over 50k members to steem blockchain through Vimm.tv. How?
Vimm.tv also has integrated with steel series, the steel series. Why?
Vimm.tv also is giving back to its community, both to streamers and viewers. Tokens?
Vimm has a merch store. What?
Vimm doesn't have a constricting TOS like twitch. Serious?
Well, all the answers to these questions and more is on the "Curation Corner" Show hosted by hosted by @shadowspub & @artemisnorth on The Ramble answered and elaborated very eloquently by @bembelmaniac.
Why am I not sharing the details with you? I want you to be as excited as I was when I heard those.
So fear not, even if you have missed the live show a recording of it will be published by @shadowspub very soon.
P.S. gonna go watch @molovelly on @vimm, now. Do check her out.
Also, check out @meanbees. Thank me later.

Thanks @bdcommunity and @drisers for their unrivaled support. Show them love!

Thanks for the mention! I'm happy you like it so much.
I had so much fun just watching it privately that when vimm came around it was a no brainer. I knew others would enjoy it too. I already had all the equipment setup and a decent Internet connection. So I installed OBS and bam, I had a live stream.
The best way to get to my stream is through @meanroosterfarm on vimm you can find it here LIVE . I hope to have several new cameras up soon because Spring time is here and a Farm in springtime is one of the more interesting places to be.
I absolutely love it.
You made the right choice. Once vimm reallt catches on, I have no doubts that your stream will be a topper

Streaming is really interesting, it opens up all sorts of fun content avenues. I need to get my boy going with live streaming in the future.

last Time i watched the Streamers on Vimm, there was only 5 Streams, and i think no one of them had viewers, like myself when i start an Vimm-Stream.
And if someone start to chat, by tiping "Hello", nothing more words are typed in my chat and the Viewerlist is still empty.
So i guess that no one care about Vimm, no one use Vimm(only a smal Community)
Cears @FuriosLosi
thats why we start to go another way, to do changings... and the Viewer token is the first of some steps...
You re completly right the Community is able to grow with NEW People who join dis game, new people which stay for a while, if anyone jump in say hi and is lost again it cant grow, but the Token will change this
Vimm is relatively new. It will take time to get the ball rolling.
All that being said, the comment above mine makes some great pointers. Vimm is really making some promising moves that will skyrocket the activity

Vimm is great but there are no people...

The people will come, especially with all the new updates
