How much fight do you have in you?

Hubby and I have been playing CastleStorm lately and it's amazing the things you learn about yourself through games, as a particular revelation occured to me while playing it the other day.

CastleStorm

(And the battle begins!)

CastleStorm is a mainly single player game but has several local co-op features, one in particular is where one player can be the castle in charge of deploying troops and arsenal and the second player is a fighter (knight, queen warrior, etc) on the ground to battle the army coming from the enemy castle.

The aim is to last through as many attack waves as you can before the enemy takes your flag back to their camp or they destroy your castle.

Personal Lesson

(This is me getting my flag back!)

Towards the end of each game I've noticed how much fight and determination I have.

After 20 plus waves the enemy castle really starts throwing everything it's got from giant griffins, eagles, dragons, mounted knights, trolls ~ EVERYTHING ~ just to get my flag back to their castle.

Even though they have broken down my front door and most of my troops are dead, I would still, as I watched my flag moving towards enemy lines, keep throwing everything I had at it to get it back.

And more times than not I get my flag back and continue to fend the waves off for a few more rounds.

It's not over til it's over!

(One last shot before he's over the line.)

I've realised through this game, after watching myself fight to the very end that I'm not the type to give up easily.

That I will protect and fight for what is mine (yes even if its just a flag in a game) and I will throw everything I have at it before I give up.

And my "giving up" is usually by default. My last ditch efforts are made right at their castle door just as my flag is about to cross their line. But still even then, until the game is over I believe I still have a chance and I see myself push to the very end.

Now I'm not saying I don't feel particularly helpless at that point. At those points towards the end of the game, I'm usually left with zero troops and my ammunition is on cool down. But I still give it a shot.

Real Life

I guess to a degree I've known I've always been a fighter, but lately I've been seeing similarities in my gameplay and real life.

There are many challenging things in my life at the moment and it's not so much about me being under attack but more the sinking ship feeling and my determination to keep said ship afloat despite the many challenges in my way.

And just like I throw everything at my game I find myself doing the same in this situation.

All that said though. It would be lovely not to have to fight for things and have them flow instead. But I suppose it is good to know that when/if I fail I know I can look back and say I gave it my everything.

How much fight do you have in you? Are you the type to quit while you're ahead? Or are you like me and will warrior up as much as possible in order to succeed?

Happy Friday Steemit!
