I have had a little bit of time free over the last couple of days and have spent a lot of time looking through steemit, I have noticed that some of my favourite steemians have not posted for a long time.

I decided to look deeper into my following list to see who is still active and I was shocked to see how many peoples accounts have laid dormant for months.

What is going on? why leave steemit, why power down? what is wrong with this place?

I love steemit, OK, I can't spend hours on here like I used to before as I have more responsibilities to deal with day to day but I try and pop on at least once a day.

You know to see how other steemians are doing, to check contests and look what other people have brought to this amazing site.

I feel sad that people have left, it feels like the hard work that had and has been put in to this is for nothing.

I for one am not done with steemit, I have thought about it, this was a rash decision and something that I change my mind about with in 10 minutes.

OK, the price of steem is low, ok there is less people on here than before, but should this be the end for us?

I don't think so, I think are time should be spent on here making new friends, gaining followers and as the steem price grows again you will see results from this.

You have to think to your self, the price of steem started at nothing, just because it sits at a low price now doesn't mean that steem is through, it just means that we are not doing enough to make the value increase.

You have to think of it this way, What adverts have been done for steem? None, so how do people know to invest in this cryptocurrency.

We need to be more vocal, we need to encourage people to come to the blockchain, we need to make this place brilliant.

What can we do to make steemit more visible? what can we do to grow the price of steem?

Steemit can be more visible by using the power of social media, lets make steemit are header to our facebook profiles. not for an hour, not for a day but for the length it takes to increase numbers on the platform.

We can also do this by using twitter, instagram and other social media platforms.

How can we grow the price of steem?

Easy.

Stop Selling it.

Supply and demand, you know, if you have something and don't sell it the value goes up because other people offer to pay more for it.

To me now is not the time to sell steem, it isn't worth selling at this price, you have all worked hard with your blogs, your posts and your videos, why would you sell it so cheap?

OK, so @ned has powered down, he is the founder of steemit, if he sells there is a price drop, this doesn't mean the end of steemit, this just means he has given up. and we don't want a ceo of a place like this running it like that now do we.

I am not attacking him, but people are like sheep, they follow the trend that others set, and with him powering down this has made a lot of people do the same.

F*ck that, we can all do are part to make steem strong.

I refuse to sell.
I am buying more. I have bought more. am I crazy? hell yes I am, but we all need to be different in this world.

I am here because I like to read your posts, I am here because I like to write about my life, and draw and do the things I love, I also like to write comments and reply to them too.
We are all here because of the crypto and that is what has brought us together.

My friends, I for one am going to try my best to post at least once a day, I am going to power up my account and I am going to buy more. this is just how I am playing this.

It's up to you what you do with your steem, but the value will keep going down if you keep selling.
