1. Preface

We’ve had a tough week in our efforts to boost engagement and reach out to forgotten Steemians and overlooked communities and countries. We’ve discussed several times how to achieve our goals since it leaves a sour taste when, month after month, the same countries and clubs are rewarded while those without curators or Steem Representatives keep being ignored. We hope True Colours can make up for this in the time left.

Keep in mind that if you never read or leave a comment, you’ll never come across anyone or anything worth reading, something that really makes you think. Let differences in culture, norms, values, or wars being fought not turn us into those inhumans turning this platform into a battlefield and hell for those who invest like you in Steemit and just want to read, write, meet or seek a bit of entertainment.

This is the statistical report on the implementation of the second week of May 2025 curatorial activities by Team True Colours 5 (steemcurator08).

A website, https://truecolours5.netlify.app/, has been built, which provides a brief summary of information on the True Colours 5 curatorial work (updated through time).

2. The Statistics

In this week of May, 66 posts and 127 comments were curated, made a total of 193 curations. As always, the weekly report is made by taking into account various key aspects related to the implementation of these curatorial activities: in terms of Club, Country, Community, Continent, and Gender.

2.1. The Club Count

The following table and charts show the number of daily votes (post, comment, and total) by club.

@pocket-change lives in the US and keeps us updated if it comes to investments. It's hard to know what to believe but it's obvious the spirit is there to invest in gold and silver. He quoted President Trump, which the more complete version should be "Think of the US as a super luxury store, with all kinds of goods. You come in and you have to pay the price we set,” (as can be read here).
It could be that this is just an opinion of the author, and that readers will decide what is worth believing, but as an investment advice, it could spark discussion for investors especially those interested in investment of gold and silver.

Starting from a thediarygame-type post, a conversation was sparked in the comment bar. And her comment, which we've nominated here, is quite interesting because she took the time to write down a recipe for Acehnese noodle soup, among other things that were discussed.

@blessedlife discusses the bright and dark sides surrounding the Vatican and the popes. From this interesting text, I've taken some interesting ideas for discussion. Below are some of them:
>There is nothing easier in this world than to create doubts about the reputation of others so the masses can judge them.
>Pope Francis followed the teachings of his grandmother, who told him that "the devil enters through the pocket."
This text is worth reading because it is not written by a fanatical believer, but by someone who knows how to weigh the positive and negative aspects of religious institutions.

@yetaras writes a post in which he draws a connection between the unpredictability of Ukraine's weather forecasts and the bombings, typical of a country at war. He incidentally comments that he has no hope for the war to end soon, as some European countries seem to be greatly benefiting from the current situation in Ukraine. In other words, what hurts some, benefits others.

@galca shares photos she took at the art festival. Three hundred children aged 7 to 17 took part, and what they drew on the asphalt is amazing.
The drawings were made with chalk. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so much art gathered in one place, and honestly, many adults could learn something from their creativity.

@cryptopie is one of the oldest Steemians. Since joining this platform, he has posted daily. He shares a life filled with concerns about kidney dialysis, changes in his bones and appearance, and his quest to stay healthy while improving his quality of life. Currently, he needs a new mattress and a better bed to lie down with less pain. There is also talk of adding flowering plants to brighten the view...

At these old times I also had a stake which disapeared, I don´t understand how people like xpilar can ramp up such projects without profund knowledge in math, english and coding..."

Saludos cordiales.

Enhorabuena y gracias.

Thank you for saying this. I always have the thought of us all as Steemians, whatever the country of origin of each of us is.

I would like to clarify that the benefits of the war in Ukraine are not so much going to European countries, but rather to others as well—for example, China, which actively sells goods to both countries: the aggressor, Russia, and the victim defending itself, Ukraine. Yet China does not condemn Russia in any way, unlike the European countries that have done so. I just want to point out that Western sanctions could have been truly severe, but they are not, because that would affect their own economic interests. That said, some European countries have provided Ukraine with the most substantial support relative to their GDP.

And if anyone has the impression that the war continues because it benefits third-party countries, let me dispel that illusion—the war continues because Russia is a bloody aggressor, and its population almost unanimously supports the genocide of the Ukrainian people. They truly wish us dead and gloat over the deaths of innocent Ukrainian civilians! That’s why I am outraged that you included a representative of Russia on this list. They should be treated as outcasts, like the Nazis during World War II—because that is exactly what they are and how they behave. And yet, with staggering hypocrisy, they call Ukrainians Nazis, even though we never attacked Russians—we are simply defending our people and our land.

We like to behave like adults here and don't do in politics. This platform is meant for everyone no matter nationality or the colour of the skin.

 yesterday

Oh, so you think I’m a child? There’s no point in arguing with you, I’ll just say one thing — war is not politics, and Russians are murderers! I thank you for choosing my post, because it seems that my sincerity struck a chord within you, and that means my post was not in vain. But I will continue to voice my opinion: Russia has no place in the civilized world. Its leaders must be tried just like the Nazis after World War II. And its citizens should carry the mark of complicity in genocide for a long time, just as Germans did for 70 years.

If you are not happy with your upvote we will ignore you from now on.

It's like blackmail... No? 😉 Dear @wakeupkitty! I think you're changing the subject of the discussion. It is not about whether the author is satisfied with the support or not, but about the interpretation of the author's raising of the problem, which, being taken out of context, acquires a different meaning. And that's it. And for adults, it's really not a problem. Personally, I see the work of curators close to the work of editors. And the task of the editor is to correctly convey the meaning. And believe me, as an author who works with editors all the time, there is nothing offensive about it.

I don’t believe that Russians are truly dissatisfied with their rulers or hate them. When we in Ukraine had a president who truly provoked the hatred of millions with his actions, we started a revolution against him—and we won, even though many paid for it with their lives. But Russians continue to tolerate their government. In fact, they have allowed them to rule for twenty years, which is far from any form of democracy. That’s why I don’t believe there are any truly “good” people among those living in Russia because they don't protest against the war in Ukraine (if there were any, they were a few among millions). And what's worse, they go and kill Ukrainians for money—tell me, how is that normal?

Dear @solperez!
I see at least three problems here.

First, let's get away from politics and talk about the author's rights. Any citation or annotation should not contradict the essence and from this point of view, the author's remark is completely legitimate.

Secondly, I understand your misunderstanding of the situation, because these are not your women and children are raped by russians and are not your men killed by them. I will emphasise - massively - with the support of russian people. But you'd better never realise how it is.

And the third. My dear friend, your team made a mistake with this post. Probably, it had to happen for the discussion to take place and this is to some extent a mystical coincidence. But let's get to the point. The fact is that I already nominated this post before your team did it. I understand that this is an amazing coincidence and I don't know if it makes sense for you to correct this mistake in your report.
Sincerely yours

I am sorry that you have to live this kind of life. I believe war is a very bad reality for you right now. I understand because I was once caught up in this condition (physical war), and had to lose many close people and acquaintances. I can only send prayers that the war will end soon, everywhere.

Thank you, that's a really sympathetic response. War is bad wherever it happens. But unfortunately not everyone shares this view.

Thanks for the nomination... My main message is a how to get in on the ground floor of "We the Peoples" new Product Line of U.S. Silver Certificates and U.S. Electronic Coinage...

Were you able to solve this already?

That’s bizarre. So it only does it in a table… and it doesn’t do it for me. Does it happen for other people and if so, are they all in the same country?

Are you using a translator or anything like that?

It is showing this at the moment.

No. I didn't use any translating engine.

Do you know if anybody else sees it like this?

I must say it’s rather bizarre!

I don't know if any other user does.

Yep it did, and I changed to United States. Thank you.
