I was sitting pensively on a quiet morning,
when @steemitblog's latest post landed on my laptop screen,
a beautiful and fruitful post as always,
to be enjoyed with pride, everybody says.
But I was troubled,
Reading the SR recruitment news, my heart hesitated.
"Should I apply or not?" I whispered softly,
But I was afraid of being told to patrol every morning, afternoon, evening, night, regularly.
I thought it would be nice to be a Steem Representative,
But how come the schedule is like a detective?
Checking posts, giving grades, filtering votes,
Not to mention the unbeliveable weekly reports
(but the reward is Whoaa! So Good!) 😅
If accepted, I must be proud to death,
But if rejected, well I would have to go back to posting
statistics from my bed.
Finally, I chose to throw a coin in the air,
It fell sideways... Okay then, later!
After all, my SP is only 5 thousand 2 hundred something,
Maybe I'll wait another decade before going for this thing.
But my pal @wakeupkitty might have a chance,
She's perfect for this kind of challenges.

I saw you were already tagged as an AUTHOR.
I read the post you're referring to, and I got the impression there won't be any changes in the representatives who will be selected; only those who left will disappear. 🙄
The other thing I saw is that there will be more control and centralization in the management of votes. And I'm not entirely sure what the communities will do now. Will they at least be able to nominate the good publications?
We'll see, my friend. It's a shame you didn't apply. You could have started a good change.

So, you’re saying it’s a good thing that only a few communities had the privilege of those Booming votes, while all the others didn’t, where moderators or hosts of contests had to pay prizes out of their own pockets? Sorry to say this, but I see it as centralisation. Isn’t that exactly what 98% expect, for a few to reward everyone so they can have an income?
Steemit didn’t start with this idea, and not everyone is fine with it. Also, I believe that if the same faces show up everywhere, take over communities, and set rules, that is also a form of control, centralisation, and an unhealthy situation for a platform. X (Twitter) is a good example of this.
When it comes to change, why is it always expected that the same people drive it, while others later take the credit or benefit from it?
Has the deadline for SR applications already passed? I wasn’t aware of it.
If you believe nothing will change—that the same people and the same groups will dominate—it sounds like you don’t have much faith in Steemit Inc. On the other hand, I believe that if a platform can’t govern itself, and the current system is as abused as it is, the only option is to try something new.

What I like about Steemit is that it implements proposals and then evaluates them to see if the results are positive or not. So it doesn't hurt to keep trying new ideas.
I agree. I noticed the past year a lot is tried out of what is discussed.

Not all SRs are the same.
It counts for some SCs as well but I can't help noticing that some vote and help everyone (the entire planet) while others only stay in their own comfort zone.

Buena pregunta sobre el rol de la comunidades, de ahora en adelante. Por lo visto, los Representantes de Steemit siempre serán los mismos. Esto me hizo recordar a las reglas que se crean en algunas empresas, en las que se diseña el perfil de los administradores para que siempre sean los mismos. Me pregunto: ¿Si las cosas no marchan bien? ¿Por qué no removerlos a todos. Y empezar con "sangre nueva"? Jajaja. Ya sabes, soy soñadora, y en este momento, me di la oportunidad de hacerlo.

Yo lo he leído como que se eliminan todos. Tienen que presentarse de nuevo y añadir algo a.... Si leo más también se dice que si los nuevos son mejores, hacen más no habrá ningún problema para no designarlos.
Certainly, what the post suggests implies a restart for the SRs, anyone who wants to remain in that role (if they already are), must send a new application.
But @solperez is right, as it doesn't make clear the role of communities in vote booing. I imagine this point will be clarified in future posts.
These are winds of change. My personal wish, as I jokingly mention, is that in the Venezuelan context, we have become accustomed to seeing an electoral referee who seems to favor only one side, even if it's doing it poorly.

Maravilloso tu poema, en el que la "voz lírica" sopesa el trabajo que se debe hacer como Representante Steem, realizando lecturas y ejecutando funciones detectivescas para controlar los plagios y los usos de la inteligencia artificial, además de realizar los informes.
