The Humanist Theory - Abraham Maslow

in #science7 years ago (edited)

Greetings dear readers!

Welcome to a new article, in which I will be commenting on a revolutionary approach to human thought and motivation, which has not only meant the experimental conception in the pioneer phase of the study of marketing, but has also deciphered the paradigms of the mind , locating basic needs, natural, instinctive, logical, social and many others in a step pyramid, determining each factor as a point within the importance or need of any individual. We speak then of the bidder to the Humanist Theory, the man who has given so much to the growth of the chairs.

Who was Abraham Maslow?

Born in New York in 1908, studied in psychiatry and psychology, driving humanistic theory in psychology, based on concepts of personal improvement, the higher levels of human consciousness, the transcendence and creator of the theory of self-realization, which bears his name as a legacy.
For his part, Maslow raised the possibility of categorizing human desires and needs within a mental structure, such a study generated much concern about the mind of the consumer and also the cognitive state.

In works such as Motivation and Personality (1954), Psychology of Being (1962) and The Psychology of Science (1966) Abraham H. Maslow postulated that each individual has hierarchical needs -physiological, affective, self-realization- that must be met, and that the fundamental objective of psychotherapy should be the integration of being.

The Pyramid of Maslow

The legendary pyramid of Maslow breaks down several channels and steps of relevance within the minds of individuals, its practice is notorious in the science of being and the discovery of phases of thought. Even sexual relations are part of this pyramid, every aspect or human logical characteristic is specifically pointed out. The use of this tool is fascinating, if you have thought about something, this pyramid has previously assigned it in a position that it occupies in our conception.

The healthy growth theory of Abraham Maslow undoubtedly complements his respective research to this, "If the human being has been raised consistently, healthily, then your mind and thoughts will be linked to those of the pyramid", otherwise the individual he will not be used to this reasoning. However, many studies corroborate that it is impossible not to belong to the pyramid, even those with a deranged mind are part of this theory.

Each hierarchical level dominates in each moment of achievement, and the lower needs in the hierarchy (food, shelter or affection), in case of not being covered, prevent the individual from expressing or desiring needs of a superior type.

  • Physiology:
They are all the basic needs of the human being, what we do unconsciously.

  • Security:
It is understood as the state of human comfort, where our family, morals and belongings are fundamental.

  • Membership:
Our relationships are intertwined with life, so that they arise moderately and are impregnated to the being.

  • Recognition:
Being our own, our human idiosyncrasy, the confidence and the aspect that we consider ourselves.

  • Self realisation:
The highest point of the pyramid, refers to the facts, the resolution of problems, morality and spontaneity, also adds our creativity or artistic sense.

Criticisms of the Intellectual Community

Maslow was a genius who criticized the mentality, created his hypothesis and raised the Humanist Theory that is named for the human sense of development, it should be noted that each step of the pyramid works in growth, the intellectual community derived certain studies after the creation of the pyramid, such as the needs of marketing, the inverted pyramid, the four P's of the market and the structuring of the consumer's mind. Some members have opined that although we all belong in the pyramid, we do not absolutely comply with all regulations, they depend on individual thinking, each person assigns a position of the mind to what they consider, for some intimate relationships are more important than the desire to excel, so they can be at the tip of the pyramid, for others the appetite is essential and eating is more than a habit, so it would stop being necessary and would go up a step within the structure and many other examples.
